YESTERDAY, PEOPLE ALL over the world celebrated Mother’s Day. (But don’t panic — it was not Mother’s Day in Ireland.)

To help celebrate the day, people took the opportunity to apologise to their mothers on Twitter for just generally acting the maggot.

And lo, the hashtag #SorryMom was born.

People apologised for calling at inopportune times

Others apologised for humiliating their Mams via social media

And some said sorry for not interacting with them more on social media

In fact, people apologised for getting up to all sorts of mischief

Children apologised for being a bit of a disappointment

People recognised how impatient they can be

And acknowledged their bad attitude

But some people? Some people kind of missed the point…

Good thing a mother’s love is unconditional, eh?
